Parallel Problems, Parallel Answers from the Book of Mormon
Friday, September 16th, 10:15-11:15am

Prior to the first coming of the Son of God, the Church of Jesus Christ among the Nephites enjoyed a period of great prosperity and growth followed by dissension and dwindling. In our own day, some LDS researchers are discovering a similar pattern. Could the history of the Latter-day Church of Jesus Christ be laid out and foreshadowed in the narrative of the Nephite Church? Could the Book of Mormon hold answers for navigating periods of dissension and uncertainty? Discover keys from the Book of Mormon that preserved the faithful and become empowered with practical solutions to strengthen the faith of your family and the Church.

LDS AnswersFaithful Answers for Tough LDS Questions
Saturday, September 17th, 4:00-5:00pm

Do you know someone struggling with a faith crisis over LDS Church history? Are there real answers to these tough questions? The answer is yes! Was Joseph Smith involved in the occult? Why did he marry a 14-year-old girl? Was Brigham Young really transfigured into the image of Joseph Smith or is this narrative merely “Mormon folklore”? Why are many prominent LDS historians calling for a “reconstructed narrative” of Church history? Was Joseph Smith a product of his time? Learn the real history, with real facts that fortify faith! Discover how you can help as we unveil a new Joseph Smith Foundation project, LDS Answers.

Latter-day Answers is dedicated to providing real answers to the tough questions regarding Latter-day history and doctrine. Many struggle to resolve concerns dealing with Joseph Smith's polygamy, evolution, education, parenting, latter-day prophecy, historical issues and many other "Mormon stumpers". Latter-day Answers will provide accurate, faith-filled answers that tell the real story with the real facts and the real history.

  1. I appreciate the talk on Friday by you and your daughter. I didn’t realize we had so many enemies inside the church. I thought our enemies were mainly outside the church. I’m glad you named some of our in-church detractors. It’s good to know where this bad stuff is coming from so we can choose for ourselves. I was a little confused by what our good choices were. After thinking about your talk last night this is what I think our good choices are. Your daughter said to read and study and pray about the Book of Mormon. My other choices would be: 1) Believe in miracles. 2) Believe in angels. 3) Believe that God is a personal God. 4) Believe that he will answer prayer. 5) Believe in a literal interpretation of the scriptures and that they are meant for our time now. 6) Follow the prophets and believe that they speak for God. Is this ok? Is this our side of the picture? Your presentation yesterday was so fair to our enemies inside the church that even I wondered a little bit if you agreed with some of their beliefs. I’m sure you don’t, but, if you explain who our enemies are and what they teach please tell our side out loud. What we believe, so we can weigh and choose. It should be obvious to us, what we believe but we need to hear you say it out loud so the weakest of saints can know where you stand.

  2. Thank you for your presentation at the Book of Mormon Conference last weekend in Sandy, Utah.

We really appreciated all of the time and hard work that went into your presentations. Thank you for being a voice of truth and reason in this chaotic world.

God bless and have a great day.
